Guy Matsuda Black Tea Dust Donburi Bowl

These wheel-thrown porcelain donburi bowls by Guy Matsuda are gas-fired and finished in a black tea dust glaze that reveals golden flecks and green undertones in the light. The glaze pools richly at the base and thins slightly at the rim, framed with a warm reddish edge. Each bowl is 3.5” high, 7.5” across the rim, and 3.25” at the foot—ideal for ramen, donburi, or hearty rice dishes.

Guy Matsudaによる磁器製の丼鉢。ガス窯で焼成され、黒のティーダスト釉が施されており、光の角度によって金や緑の細かな粒子が浮かび上がります。釉薬が縁ではやや薄く、底では深くたまり、赤みを帯びた縁が全体を引き締めています。高さ約9cm、口径約19cm、底径約8.5cm。ラーメンや丼ものなど、しっかりとした料理に最適です。
