Guy Matsuda Unglazed Tumbler

These unglazed tumblers by Guy Matsuda are wheel-thrown from stoneware and wood and salt fired, allowing the firing process to bring out rich tonal variations across the surface. Each features delicate chatter marks and natural salt flashing, with a subtly rounded form that fits comfortably in the hand. At 4” tall and 3.75” in diameter, they hold 12 oz—ideal for tea, coffee, sake, or wine.

Guy Matsudaによる無釉のタンブラー。轆轤成形されたストーンウェアを薪と塩で焼成し、自然の炎や灰による景色がひとつひとつ異なる風合いを生み出しています。繊細なチャターマークとやさしい丸みのある形が手にしっくりとなじみます。高さ約10cm、直径約9.5cm、容量約355ml。お茶やコーヒー、日本酒やワインにもぴったりのサイズです。
