One line curves upward into an open spiral, creating a sense of movement within the otherwise quiet, square composition. Subtle irregularities along the edges and small impressed details in the upper corners add texture to the restrained design.

The high-fire stoneware is finished with Nakayama's distinctive Twilight Glow glaze. Its silvery surface reveals shifting tones of pale blue, violet, and green, while the raised curves catch the light and the recessed areas appear darker. The changing colors result from light interference in the glaze's outermost layer, responding to the light source, its intensity, and the viewing angle.

The tile is mounted against a pale background within a deep black frame.
