Josh Kopin Yunomi – Wood and Salt Fired

These yunomi by Josh Kopin are wheel-thrown from buff stoneware and fired in a wood and salt kiln. Each is glazed in ST3, a subtly reactive surface that responds richly to flame and ash. One shows a soft Ash Blush, with pale tones and gentle warmth; the other, a more dramatic Dark Halo, where flame and glaze pooled into shadow. Both are about 2.75 inches tall, holding roughly 4 oz—ideal for tea, espresso, or simply holding still.

Josh Kopin による湯のみ。バフ色のストーンウェアを使い、ST3釉を施し、薪と塩の窯で焼成されています。炎と灰の作用によって、ひとつはAsh Blush（灰の赤み）と呼ばれる柔らかな桃色の表情に、もうひとつはDark Halo（影の輪）のように釉薬が濃く溜まり、コントラストのある景色に仕上がっています。どちらも高さ約7cm、容量約120ml。お茶やエスプレッソ、または手の中の静けさにぴったりの器です。
