Ayumi Nojiri Wheel-Thrown Coffee Mug

These wheel-thrown stoneware mugs by Ayumi Nojiri combine a straightforward cylindrical form with a broad, gracefully curved handle. Subtle throwing lines, gently varied proportions, and exposed clay at the base give each mug its individual character.

Electric-fired, the mugs are available in four distinctive glazes. Black combines a glossy, reflective upper surface with softer charcoal tones below. White has a warm, creamy surface with delicate speckling and traces of the clay beneath. Smoky Blue brings together muted blue-gray, earthy brown, and softly mottled surfaces, while Deep Teal features richer blue-green tones, darker accents, and a deep, lustrous interior.

Ayumi Nojiriがろくろで成形した炻器のマグカップ。すっきりとした円筒形の胴体に、大きくゆったりと弧を描く持ち手を組み合わせています。かすかに残るろくろ目や、それぞれに異なる微妙なプロポーション、底部にのぞく素地が、一点ごとの表情を生み出しています。

電気窯で焼成され、4種類の釉薬からお選びいただけます。ブラックは、光を映す艶やかな上部と、落ち着いた炭色の下部が対照的です。ホワイトは、温かみのあるクリーム色に細かな斑点や素地の表情が感じられます。スモーキーブルーは、くすんだ青灰色と土色が柔らかく混ざり合い、ディープティールは、深い青緑色に濃淡のある釉調と、艶やかな内側が特徴です。
