Ayumi Nojiri Wheel-Thrown Small Bowl – Speckled Cream Glaze

This small wheel-thrown stoneware bowl by Ayumi Nojiri has a gently rounded body that curves inward toward a simple, well-defined rim. Its compact proportions give it a satisfying sense of fullness, while fine horizontal throwing lines remain visible beneath the glaze.

Electric-fired, the soft cream glaze carries subtle variations of warm beige and pale gray, with scattered darker specks and a slightly darker band near the rim. Inside, concentric throwing marks lead the eye toward the center, while a small patch of darker glaze adds an unexpected accent. A versatile little bowl for nuts, condiments, sweets, or a small serving of food.

Ayumi Nojiriがろくろで成形した小ぶりな炻器の鉢。ふっくらと丸みを帯びた胴体が、口元に向かってわずかに内側へとすぼまる形です。小さな器ながら豊かな量感があり、釉薬の下には繊細なろくろ目が残っています。

電気窯で焼成された柔らかなクリーム色の釉薬には、温かみのあるベージュや淡い灰色が混ざり、ところどころに濃い色の斑点が見られます。口縁近くにはやや濃い色の帯があり、内側には中心へと続く同心円状のろくろ目と、小さな濃色の釉薬の跡がアクセントになっています。ナッツや薬味、お菓子、少量のおかずなど、さまざまな用途に使いやすい器です。
