Silene DeCiucies Wood-Fired Dish

These small wood-fired dishes by Silene DeCiucies are offered as a group of four glaze and surface variations, each carrying its own distinct atmosphere while sharing a common quiet sensibility. Wheel thrown and wood fired, the dishes reveal the subtle unpredictability of flame, ash, and mineral interaction across their shallow forms.

Variants include shino, feldspar and wood ash, kaolin slip, and black laterite slip surfaces. Some pieces emerge soft and pale with mist-like transitions, while others deepen into darker, iron-rich tones or granular ash textures. Together they reflect Silene’s sensitivity to natural materials and atmospheric firing, where no surface feels imposed and each piece records the conditions of the kiln.

Their gently raised feet and open forms make them well suited for small servings, condiments, incense, jewelry, or everyday moments of pause. Beautiful individually or gathered together as a small landscape of fired earth and ash.

志野釉、長石と木灰、カオリン化粧土、ブラックラテライトスリップなど、それぞれ異なる素材感と焼き上がりが魅力です。淡く霞んだような表情のものから、鉄分を感じさせる深い色合いのものまで、薪窯ならではの揺らぎと個性が感じられます。

小鉢や取り皿としてはもちろん、香皿やアクセサリートレイなどにもおすすめです。並べて置くことで、土と炎の多様な景色を楽しめる作品群です。

サイズは個体差がありますが、おおよそ高さ2〜3インチ、直径5.5インチ前後。
