Brandon Hale Small Bowl

A small bowl by Brandon Hale, made from wild clay and finished with a soft white slip that settles into a quiet gray surface. The form is low and open, with a steady foot and a gently flared rim that feels easy in the hand.

Across the exterior, the texture of the clay remains present—fine speckling, throwing lines, and subtle shifts in tone. On one side, a bisected triangular mark interrupts the surface: an area intentionally left unglazed through a careful pouring and turning process, revealing the raw clay beneath. A small, deliberate gesture that carries the trace of making.

Inside, the pale glaze gathers and moves, catching light in soft variations. Well-suited for tea, small servings, or everyday use at the table.

野土から作られた土に白化粧が施され、落ち着いたグレーの表情に仕上げられたBrandon Haleの小鉢。低く開いた形とやわらかく広がる縁が、手に自然に馴染みます。

外側には土の粒子や轆轤の跡、微妙な色の揺らぎが残り、素材の存在感が感じられます。側面には三角形を二分したような無釉の部分があり、釉薬を注ぎながら器を回転させることで意図的に残された痕跡です。制作の過程が静かに現れています。

内側には淡い釉薬が流れ、光をやわらかく受け止めます。お茶や副菜、小鉢として日常の食卓におすすめです。
