Juli Kirk’s ceramics embody a fusion of raw materiality and refined artistic expression. Working with low-fire red and white stoneware clays, she employs a rich surface vocabulary of terra sigillata, wax resist, and layered glazes, often punctuated by scratchings that reveal underlying textures and tones. Her work moves fluidly between structured and organic forms—whether in her sculptural teapots, expressive katakuchi, or elegantly imperfect bowls and plates. Each piece invites contemplation, balancing playfulness with quiet sophistication.
