Sabinando Handsewn Kimono Shawl

Handsewn from vintage Japanese kimono fabrics, these generously sized shawls offer a rich interplay of color, pattern, and texture. Each features carefully selected textiles, with fringed ends that add movement and a relaxed character.

Three variations are available. Two combine solid deep-blue linen with striped cotton: one featuring fine blue-gray stripes, the other warmer stripes of muted red, brown, olive, and cream. The third is made entirely from the warm-toned striped cotton, allowing its subtle variations in color and texture to extend across the full shawl.

Their generous dimensions offer many possibilities for wearing them. Draped over the shoulders, wrapped around the body, or folded to emphasize different colors and patterns, each shawl takes on a different appearance depending on how it is arranged. Individually handsewn by textile artist Sabinando, they bring vintage Japanese textiles into contemporary everyday wear.

日本のヴィンテージ着物地を使い、Sabinandoが一枚ずつ手縫いで仕立てた、大判のショールです。色や模様、質感の組み合わせが魅力で、両端のフリンジが布の動きに自然な表情を添えています。

3種類の色柄をご用意しました。2種類は、無地の深い青色の麻生地と縞模様の綿生地を組み合わせたもの。一方は細い青みがかったグレーの縞模様、もう一方はくすんだ赤、茶色、オリーブ、生成りの温かみのある縞模様です。3つ目は、この温かみのある縞模様の綿生地だけで仕立てたもので、布全体に広がる色彩と質感を楽しめます。

たっぷりとした大きさがあり、肩に羽織ったり、体を包むように巻いたり、折り方を工夫して色や模様を際立たせたりと、さまざまな着こなしが楽しめます。日本のヴィンテージ着物地を現代の日常の装いへと新たに生かした、Sabinandoの手仕事です。
