Wood-Fired Pottery

Wood-fired pottery is created in kilns fueled by wood rather than gas or electricity. During firing, ash circulates through the kiln and settles onto vessels, melting into the surface at high temperatures. Flame movement, ash deposits, and shifting atmosphere produce subtle variation that cannot be fully predicted or replicated.

Each wood-fired piece carries visible traces of heat, time, and material interaction.
