Brandon Hale Honeycomb Bud Vase

Three adjoining hexagonal columns give this unusual bud vase by Brandon Hale its distinctive honeycomb form. Handbuilt from wild clay and wood-fired, it features a soft robin's egg blue glaze with fine crackling, subtle variations in color, and touches of warm brown where the clay shows through.

The three separate openings invite playful arrangements: a single stem in each, different flowers grouped together, or branches spreading in several directions. The geometric form provides structure while leaving plenty of room for experimentation.

Handbuilt wild clay; robin's egg blue glaze; wood-fired.

Dimensions: 5.25" H. Each hexagonal opening measures approximately 1" across between parallel sides.

六角形の筒を三つ組み合わせた、蜂の巣のような形が特徴のBrandon Haleによる花器です。自然採取の土を手作業で成形し、ロビンズエッグブルーの釉薬を施して薪窯で焼成しています。柔らかな青色の釉肌には細かな貫入が見られ、色の濃淡やところどころに現れる土の茶色が表情を添えています。

三つの口を生かして、それぞれに一本ずつ花を挿したり、異なる草花を組み合わせたり、枝を自由な方向に広げたり。幾何学的な形が草花を支えながら、さまざまな生け方を楽しませてくれます。

自然採取の粘土、手成形、ロビンズエッグブルー釉、薪窯焼成。

サイズ：高さ約13.3cm。各六角形の口の向かい合う辺の間隔は約2.5cm。
