Ayumi Nojiri Handbuilt Flower Cup

These handbuilt stoneware flower cups by Ayumi Nojiri are shaped with gently scalloped rims that open like petals above small pedestal bases. The irregular edges and softly changing contours make each piece feel slightly different from every angle, while the compact foot gives the form a sense of lift.

Two surface treatments are available. The brown versions pair a warm, earthy exterior with a pale interior glaze, creating a strong contrast between the outside and inside of the cup. The taller white version carries its lighter surface across more of the form, allowing the folds, ridges, and handbuilt texture to become especially visible.

Their open, flower-like forms make them useful as small serving vessels, dessert cups, or simply as sculptural objects on a shelf or table. Each is handmade, so variations in edge, surface, and proportion are part of the individual piece.

Ayumi Nojiriによる、手びねりで成形されたストーンウェアのフラワーカップです。花びらのようにゆるやかに波打つ口縁と、小さな高台を組み合わせた形が特徴です。わずかに不揃いな縁ややわらかく変化する輪郭によって、見る角度ごとに少しずつ異なる表情が生まれています。

ブラウンのタイプは、温かみのある土色の外側と淡い色の内側の釉薬との対比が印象的です。Tall Whiteはより明るい表面が器全体に広がり、手びねりならではの起伏や筋、質感がよりはっきりと感じられます。

小さな盛り付けやデザートの器として使えるほか、棚やテーブルの上でそのまま造形を楽しむこともできます。ひとつずつ手作りされているため、口縁や表面、形にはそれぞれわずかな違いがあります。
