Ayumi Nojiri Handbuilt Matcha Bowl – Moss Green Glaze

This handbuilt stoneware matcha bowl by Ayumi Nojiri has a softly rounded body, a gently undulating surface, and an irregular, slightly oval rim. Electric-fired, its moss-green glaze shifts between pale, translucent-looking green and deeper olive tones, with delicate trails of glaze descending from the upper edge.

Inside, the glaze becomes a richer, glossier green, catching the light across the subtle contours of the hand-formed surface. The generous opening provides room for whisking matcha, while the rounded form rests comfortably between the hands.

Ayumi Nojiriが手成形した炻器の抹茶碗。ふっくらと丸みのある胴体に、緩やかな起伏のある表面と、わずかに楕円を描く自然な口縁が特徴です。電気窯で焼成された苔色の釉薬は、淡く透き通るような緑から深みのあるオリーブグリーンへと変化し、上部には釉薬が細く流れた跡が見られます。

内側はさらに深く艶やかな緑色で、手成形ならではの柔らかな起伏に光が映ります。広めの口は抹茶を点てやすく、丸みのある形は両手で包み込むように持つことができます。
