Ayumi Nojiri Handbuilt Medium Tea Cup – Cream and Pale Green Glaze

This handbuilt stoneware tea cup by Ayumi Nojiri has a generously rounded body, a small foot, and a gently irregular rim. Its softly shaped walls give the cup a comfortable fullness, while the slightly uneven opening preserves the character of its hand-formed construction.

Electric-fired, the exterior has a soft cream glaze with subtle variations in tone, gradually giving way to a muted, mossy green around the lower body and foot. Inside, a more pronounced pale green glaze catches the light, creating a pleasing contrast with the quieter exterior. A comfortable, handleless cup for tea or other favorite drinks.

Ayumi Nojiriが手成形した炻器のティーカップ。ふっくらと丸みを帯びた胴体に、小さな高台と緩やかに揺らぐ口縁を組み合わせています。柔らかな起伏のある側面と自然な口元に、手成形ならではの表情が感じられます。

電気窯で焼成された外側の釉薬は、穏やかなクリーム色を基調に、胴の下部から高台にかけて落ち着いた苔色へと移り変わります。内側にはより鮮やかな淡い緑色の釉薬が広がり、光を受けて柔らかな艶を見せます。お茶はもちろん、さまざまな飲み物に使いやすい、取っ手のないカップです。
