Ayumi Nojiri Stoneware Ring Bowl

This small stoneware bowl by Ayumi Nojiri has a low, rounded form with softly defined horizontal ridges circling the exterior. A pale, warm glaze settles gently across the surface, shifting between soft ivory, cream, and faint gray, while the slightly darker rim gives the form a quiet sense of definition.

At just 2 inches across, it is especially suited for rings and other small pieces of jewelry, though it can also serve as a tiny bowl for salt, condiments, or other small accompaniments at the table. The compact scale and subtle surface variation give the piece a presence beyond its size.

Ayumi Nojiriによる、小さなストーンウェアのリングボウルです。低く丸みを帯びた形に、外側をめぐるやわらかな横の稜線が静かなリズムをつくっています。表面の釉薬は淡いアイボリーやクリーム、ほのかなグレーの間をゆるやかに移ろい、やや濃い色の縁が器の輪郭を引き締めています。

直径約2インチの小さなサイズで、リングや小さなアクセサリーを置く器として使いやすく、塩や薬味などを入れる豆皿のような使い方もできます。小ぶりながら、丸みのある形と繊細な表情が印象に残る器です。
