Brandon Hale Robin's Egg Blue Tumbler

This tumbler by Brandon Hale has a gently cylindrical form, with a subtle narrowing at the middle and a softly rounded rim. Wheel-thrown from wild clay and electric-fired, it features a robin's egg blue glaze with fine crackling and delicate variations in color. A slightly darker horizontal band follows the curve of the body, while small patches of exposed clay near the base interrupt the blue surface.

Comfortable in the hand and generously proportioned, the tumbler is suited to tea, coffee, water, or other everyday drinks.

Brandon Haleによる、緩やかな円筒形のタンブラーです。胴の中央あたりがわずかにくびれ、口縁に向かって再び広がる形が特徴です。自然採取の土をろくろで成形し、ロビンズエッグブルーの釉薬を施して電気窯で焼成しています。釉肌には細かな貫入と繊細な色の濃淡が見られ、胴の曲線に沿ってやや濃い青色の帯が現れています。底に近い部分にはところどころ土肌がのぞき、青い釉薬との対比を生み出しています。

手に取りやすく、ゆったりとした大きさで、お茶やコーヒー、水など、日々の飲み物に使える器です。

自然採取の粘土、ろくろ成形、ロビンズエッグブルー釉、電気窯焼成。
