Brandon Hale Wood-Fired Rectangular Bud Vase

This handbuilt bud vase by Brandon Hale combines a tall rectangular body with a short, cylindrical neck. Made from wild clay and wood-fired, it features contrasting surfaces of warm reddish-brown clay and pale white slip beneath a clear glaze. Subtle vertical marks and variations in texture give the broad faces of the vase their individual character.

The narrow opening holds a few stems securely, creating a pleasing contrast between the vessel's strong geometric form and the more delicate, irregular shapes of flowers and branches.

Handbuilt wild clay; white slip and clear glaze; wood-fired.

Dimensions: 6.5" H × 1.5" D (rim) × 2.25" × 3" (base).

Brandon Hale
