Brandon Hale Wood-Fired Shino Small Bowl

This small bowl by Brandon Hale has a gently rounded form, opening from a narrow foot into a broad, softly defined rim. Wheel-thrown from wild clay and wood-fired, it features a shino glaze in warm honey, tan, and smoky brown tones, with subtle variations in texture and color across the surface.

Inside, the glaze is lighter and more reflective, revealing concentric throwing lines and scattered darker speckles. Its comfortable proportions make it a versatile bowl for rice, soup, fruit, or small side dishes.

Brandon Haleによる、小ぶりなボウルです。細めの高台から緩やかな曲線を描いて広がり、ゆったりとした口縁へとつながる形が特徴です。自然採取の土をろくろで成形し、志野釉を施して薪窯で焼成しています。表面には蜂蜜色や黄褐色、煙を帯びたような茶色が重なり、色合いや質感に微妙な変化が見られます。

内側はより明るく、柔らかな光沢があり、同心円状のろくろ目や細かな斑点が現れています。ご飯や汁物、果物、小さなおかずなど、日々の食卓で幅広く使える器です。

自然採取の粘土、ろくろ成形、志野釉、薪窯焼成。
