This medium fabric basket by Deb Luekens is meticulously handsewn from coiled cotton roping, shaped slowly and deliberately through dense, even stitching. The result is a vessel that feels both substantial and gentle, with a beautifully articulated spiral structure that reflects the rhythm of its making.

At the interior base, a panel of vintage chirimen kimono fabric introduces color, pattern, and a quiet sense of history. Each basket is finished with a hand-made fabric button, also crafted by the artist, underscoring the integrity of the piece as a fully considered, entirely hand-built object.

Slightly larger in scale, the medium basket is well suited for holding jewelry, sewing notions, desk supplies, cosmetics, or treasured small objects. While the form and materials remain consistent, the chirimen fabric varies from piece to piece, making each numbered variant one of a kind.
