This small porcelain tea cup by Guy Matsuda is an elegant study in restraint. Wheel-thrown and gas fired, its luminous ivory glaze is quietly interrupted by a soft bloom of oxblood near the foot, where the rich crimson pools and diffuses into the porcelain. Fine crackle throughout the glaze adds depth and invites closer attention.

口縁へ向かってゆるやかに広がる形は手になじみやすく、お茶や日本酒などを楽しむのにぴったりの一客です。控えめでありながら、焼成による豊かな表情を感じられる器です。
