Guy Matsuda Wood-Fired Medium Bowl

Wheel-thrown by Guy Matsuda, this medium bowl has gently curved sides and a wide, open form. A pale dolomite glaze covers the interior, while the unglazed exterior reveals warm earthy browns, soft grays, and fine vertical markings from wood firing. The contrast between the smooth, light interior and the varied outer surface gives each bowl its own character. A versatile size for rice, soup, vegetables, or shared side dishes.

ガイ・マツダがろくろで成形した中ぶりのボウル。ゆるやかな曲線を描く側面と、広く開いた形が特徴です。内側には淡い色合いのドロマイト釉が施され、釉薬を掛けていない外側には、薪窯での焼成によって生まれたあたたかな茶色ややわらかな灰色、細かな縦の模様が見られます。なめらかで明るい内側と、変化に富んだ外側の対比が、一点ごとに異なる表情を生み出しています。ご飯や汁物、野菜料理、取り分けるおかずなど、さまざまな用途にお使いいただけます。
