Silene DeCiucies Wood-Fired Medium Vase with Handles

These medium handled vases by Silene DeCiucies are offered as a group of three closely related wood-fired variations, each carrying distinct atmospheric markings from the kiln. Wheel thrown in stoneware and coated with kaolin slip, the surfaces reveal subtle shifts created through flame, ash, and reduction, ranging from pale luminous passages to darker, smoke-softened tones.

A finely incised geometric texture moves across each form, giving the vessels a tactile, woven quality that feels both ancient and quietly contemporary. The small loop handles and tapered silhouette add a gentle amphora-like presence while remaining intimate in scale.

Though unified in form, each medium vase emerges with its own personality: one warmer and flame-kissed, another softly ash-gray, another deeper and more heavily carbon marked. Beautiful as individual flower vases or grouped together as a small family of atmospheric forms.

轆轤成形によるストーンウェアにカオリン化粧土を施し、表面には繊細な幾何学的テクスチャーが刻まれています。その模様は織物のようにも見え、古代的な雰囲気と静かな現代性を同時に感じさせます。

淡く柔らかな発色のもの、炎の痕跡が濃く現れたもの、灰や炭化による深みを帯びたものなど、同じ形の中に薪窯焼成ならではの多様な景色が宿っています。一輪挿しとしても、複数並べて飾っても美しい中型作品です。

サイズは個体差がありますが、おおよそ高さ5.5〜6.5インチ、直径4〜4.5インチ前後（口径約3インチ、底径約2インチ）。
