Brandon Hale Robin's Egg Blue Tea Cup

These small tea cups by Brandon Hale have a low, open form, with gently flared sides rising from a narrow foot to a broad, softly rounded rim. Wheel-thrown from wild clay and electric-fired, they feature a robin's egg blue glaze that shifts subtly between pale turquoise and soft blue, with fine crackling visible across the surface.

Their wide openings reveal the color of the tea and invite a different experience from a taller, more enclosed cup. Small variations in form and glaze distinguish each handmade piece.

Brandon Haleによる、浅く口の広い茶杯です。小さな高台から側面が緩やかに広がり、丸みのある口縁へとつながります。自然採取の土をろくろで成形し、ロビンズエッグブルーの釉薬を施して電気窯で焼成しています。淡いターコイズブルーから柔らかな水色へと移り変わる釉肌には、細かな貫入が見られます。

広い口からお茶の色を楽しむことができ、背の高い湯呑みとはまた違った趣があります。形や釉薬の表情には、それぞれわずかな違いがあります。

自然採取の粘土、ろくろ成形、ロビンズエッグブルー釉、電気窯焼成。
