Ayumi Nojiri Handbuilt Tea Cups (Yunomi)

Handbuilt by Ayumi Nojiri, each of these one-of-a-kind tea cups (yunomi) carries the quiet intimacy of daily ritual. Formed through her signature pinching technique, they feature exquisitely thin rims that feel light to the lips—yet each cup rests with unexpected substance in the hand.

Glazed in Ayumi’s own homemade “oyster gray,” the surface reveals soft green hues, warm undertones, and organic texture shaped by fire. No two are exactly alike.

Each cup holds approximately 2.5 to 4 fluid ounces.

野尻あゆみによる手びねりの湯のみ。彼女ならではの繊細な指の動きで形づくられた薄く美しい縁は、口あたりがやさしく、それでいて手に取ると意外なほどしっかりとした存在感があります。

釉薬は、あゆみさんが自ら調合した「オイスタ―グレー」。炎のなかで生まれるやわらかな緑のニュアンスと、ところどころにのぞく温かみのあるトーンが、ひとつひとつ異なる表情を見せてくれます。
