Andy Vlock Pinched Dish

These handbuilt pinched dishes by Andy Vlock are small but full of character, each uniquely formed from marbled clay and enhanced by an ash glaze. The natural folds and curves in the clay create a flowing, organic shape, while the wood-firing process leaves behind traces of flame and ash, making each dish one of a kind.

Measuring approximately 2 inches in diameter and ranging from 0.5 to 0.75 inches in height, these tiny dishes are perfect for holding salt, spices, sauces, jewelry, or small treasures. Their gently undulating forms also make them ideal as hashi oki (chopstick rests), adding an organic, sculptural accent to any table setting.

陶芸家 アンディ・ヴロック (Andy Vlock) によるこの手びねりの小皿は、小さいながらも豊かな表情を持つ作品です。マーブル状の陶土を使用し、灰釉（はいゆう）をかけた後、薪窯で焼成。自然にできた折り目や曲線が、流れるような有機的なフォルムを生み出しています。焼成の過程で炎と灰の痕跡が残り、ひとつひとつが唯一無二の存在となっています。

直径約5cm、高さは約1.3cm〜1.9cmと個々に異なり、塩やスパイス、ソース、アクセサリー、小さな宝物を置くのに最適なサイズ感です。さらに、その柔らかな曲線が**箸置き（はしおき）**としても美しく機能し、食卓に自然なアクセントを添えます。
