ガイ・マツダによるこの急須は、温かさと静かな気配に満ちた作品です。BMix粘土を用い轆轤で成形し、薪窯でじっくり焼き上げられています。灰釉が自然に流れ落ち、そこに茶色い鉄釉（ティーダスト）が重なり、緑から琥珀、金色まで、やわらかな色のグラデーションが生まれています。丸みを帯びた胴体にしっくりと収まる持ち手、丁寧に作られた蓋の合わせも美しく、実用性と詩的な美しさをあわせ持つ器です。さりげない佇まいの中に、炎と土、作り手の手の痕跡が宿っています。
