Guy Matsuda Teapot – Wood Fired Stoneware with Natural Handle

A quiet harmony defines this teapot by Guy Matsuda. Wheel-thrown in BMix stoneware and left unglazed, it was fired in a wood kiln where flame and ash lent their subtle markings. The surface is soft and speckled, a pale blend of ivory and earthy warmth with gentle blushes where fire met form. The round body sits easily in the hand, and the natural bamboo handle adds both function and grace. Every detail—spout, lid, foot—is carefully balanced, making this piece not only beautiful to look at, but a pleasure to use.
