Brandon Hale Unglazed Anagama Fired Matcha Bowl

This bold, unglazed matcha bowl by Brandon Hale was formed from Dark Star wild clay and fired for days in the intense atmosphere of an anagama kiln. Without glaze to soften the surface, the clay records every nuance of the fire—ember-red blushes, rivers of ash, and textured zones where flame left its mark.

The interior carries a natural sheen from accumulated ash, while the foot remains raw and grounded. Earthy and unfiltered, this bowl is ideal for preparing matcha—or for serving something unexpected with presence and intention.

ブランダン・ヘイルがDark Star wild clayで成形し、薪窯（穴窯）で焼成した無釉の抹茶碗です。釉薬を使わず、炎と灰の力だけで仕上げた表面には、赤みがかった発色や灰の流れ、ざらつきのある質感など、焼成の痕跡がそのまま表れています。

内側には自然に溜まった灰が薄く艶を生み出し、高台には土の持つ素朴で力強い表情が残ります。抹茶のための器としてはもちろん、料理やお菓子の器としても、静かな存在感を放つ一品です。
