Wheel-thrown in porcelain by Guy Matsuda, this low, wide serving platter is gas-fired in celadon with a wax-resist band and an overlay of black tea-dust glaze. The celadon’s soft green transparency plays beautifully across the shallow form, while the tea dust adds a delicate constellation of dark flecks. The wax-resist pattern brings a subtle sense of motion and reveals the quiet warmth of the clay beneath.
