Josh Kopin Moon Dust Espresso Cup

This petite espresso cup by Josh Kopin is wheel-thrown and finished in a luminous white shino glaze that softly crackles across the surface. The result evokes the pale light of the moon through clouded skies—quiet, irregular, and full of character. At the base, warm red tones of the clay peek through the glaze like ember under ash. Each cup is subtly distinct, with variations in height, form, and surface that reflect Josh’s intuitive approach to making.

Approximately 2.5” high, 2.5” across the rim, and holds about 3 fl oz.

Food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe.

ジョシュ・コーピンによる小さなエスプレッソカップ。ろくろ成形で、釉薬には月明かりのような白志野釉が使われています。表面には貫入が広がり、どこか霞がかった空のような静けさと味わい深さが漂います。高台のあたりでは釉薬の下から赤土の温かみがちらりと見え、柔らかな表情を添えています。サイズや形、釉薬の表情にはひとつずつ個体差があり、ジョシュの感覚に導かれて生まれた一点ものです。
