Silene DeCiucies Wood-Fired Condiment Dish – Kaolin Slip

Handcrafted by Vermont potter Silene DeCiucies, this wood-fired stoneware condiment dish is wheel-thrown and finished with a kaolin slip that allows the kiln’s atmosphere to leave its mark. During firing, flame and natural ash interact with the surface, creating soft layers of grey, muted cream, and warm earth tones, with subtle variation from piece to piece. The compact, gently open form is well suited for sauces, condiments, pickles, or small accompaniments, while remaining calm and tactile in the hand. Measuring approximately 3.5” in diameter, each dish carries the quiet individuality of wood firing. Food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe.
