ジュリ・カークによるスモーク焼成の彫刻的花器。力強くもやわらかな曲線に、煙と炎の痕跡が揺らめき、どこか文字のかたちを思わせます。ひとみはこれを見て、古いひらがなを思い出したと言いました。しっかりとした重みがあり、空間に静かな重心を与える作品です。水を入れることはできませんが、ドライフラワーや枝もの、またはそのまま飾っても存在感は十分。かたちと呼吸と記憶のうつわです。
