Brandon Hale Wood-Fired Shino Bowl

This wheel-thrown bowl by Brandon Hale is made from dark stoneware clay, glazed in shino, and wood-fired. The flame left traces across the surface: ember blushes, ash textures, and a quiet sheen where glaze pooled thickest. Beneath it all, the rich clay body lends depth and gravity.

A versatile bowl for everyday use—rice, fruit, side dishes, or simply a moment of pause. Its proportions are both generous and grounding.
