Ayumi Nojiri Tea Cup - Rain

A handbuilt tea cup by Ayumi Nojiri, offered in two variations: one with a subtle foot and one with a flat base. Each form carries its own quiet character—the footed version slightly lifted and ceremonial, the flat version grounded and direct.

The surface is finished in a soft “rain” glaze, where pale celadon tones mingle with warm, earthen edges. The glaze gathers and breaks along the rim, creating a natural line that feels both weathered and alive. Across the body, gentle variations in tone suggest the movement of water over time—like rain settling into clay, leaving traces behind.

The rim is softly irregular, inviting a tactile awareness with each sip.

Ideal for tea, sake, or small pours, these cups bring a quiet atmosphere to daily use.

Food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe.

手びねりで作られたAyumi Nojiriの湯のみ。高台のあるタイプとフラットな底のタイプ、2つのバリエーションがあります。高台付きはわずかに持ち上がるような佇まい、フラットタイプはより落ち着いた安定感のある印象です。

「雨」を思わせるやわらかな釉薬は、淡い青磁の色合いに土の温かみが重なり、縁には自然なにじみや溜まりが現れます。雨が静かに降り積もり、時間とともに残した痕跡のような表情です。

わずかに揺らぐ口縁が、口当たりにやさしい感覚をもたらします。
