Brandon Hale Left-Handed Wild Clay Kyūsu Teapot

Thrown by Brandon Hale from wild clay, this left-handed kyūsu teapot was wood and soda–fired without glaze, allowing the clay and flame to speak directly. Ash and vapor mark the surface with quiet shifts of tone—soft browns, silvers, and orange blushes—each a trace of the kiln’s breath. Compact and balanced, it fits naturally in the left hand, offering a grounded intimacy in use.

ブランダン・ヘイルによる野生の土で成形し、無釉のまま薪とソーダの窯で焼成した左手用の急須。灰と蒸気の作用により、淡い褐色や銀色、橙の火色が静かに現れ、窯の息づかいを映し出します。小ぶりで安定感があり、左手に自然に馴染む形。手に取るたびに土の温もりを感じられる器です。
