Guy Matsuda Tenmoku Deep Bowl (8”)

$65.00

This tenmoku bowl by Guy Matsuda balances depth and width in a way that makes it especially versatile—large enough for composed meals or generous servings, yet contained enough to feel intimate in use. The slightly taller profile compared to the wider serving bowls gives it a quiet sense of presence, ideal for dishes that benefit from both structure and depth—grain bowls, soups, or layered preparations.

The interior is finished in a black tea dust (tenmoku) glaze, its deep, glossy surface scattered with fine golden speckling that shifts subtly with the light. Toward the rim, the glaze breaks into warm amber tones, creating a soft, luminous edge that frames the darker interior. The exterior carries a quieter version of this effect, with earthy browns and near-black transitions shaped by the gas firing.

The proportions allow the bowl to feel grounded without being heavy—substantial in the hand, but still refined. It’s a form that adapts easily, moving between everyday use and more considered presentation.

Food safe, microwave safe, dishwasher safe。
