Josh Kopin White Shino Espresso Cup

Wheel-thrown espresso cup by Josh Kopin, made from dark stoneware and fired in a gas kiln. Finished in a white Shino glaze, the surface shows soft variation and natural speckling, with warmer tones emerging where the glaze breaks and pools. Each cup carries subtle differences in color and texture, reflecting the interaction of glaze, clay, and flame.

Compact and comfortable to hold, these cups are well suited for espresso or small servings of coffee. Thrown and glazed individually, no two are exactly alike.

Josh Kopinによる轆轤成形のエスプレッソカップです。濃い色味の陶土を用い、ガス窯で焼成。白い志野釉が施され、釉薬の溜まりやかすれによって、柔らかな表情と自然な斑点が生まれています。土と釉、炎の作用により、一点一点わずかな個体差があります。

手に収まりのよいコンパクトなサイズで、エスプレッソや少量のコーヒーに適しています。すべて手作業で成形・施釉されています。
