Juli Kirk Sculptural Serving Bowl – Torn Rim & Oxide Mark

This sculptural serving bowl by Juli Kirk is hand-built from brown clay and fired in an electric kiln. The surface is layered with white underglaze and satin clear slips, revealing ghostly textures and a single rust-hued oxide marking near the center. Its most defining feature is the torn, uneven rim—delicate and deliberate, like a weathered edge. Measuring 10 inches across and 2.5 inches high, it holds about 24 oz by volume. A piece for sharing, holding, it holds about 24 oz by volume. A piece for sharing, holding, or simply witnessing. Whether used for serving fruit, holding space on a table, or standing alone as an object of presence, this bowl balances softness and strength in its material expression.
