Silene DeCiucies Wood-Fired Medium Bowl – Wood Ash Glaze

Handbuilt by Silene DeCiucies, this medium wood-fired bowl carries the quiet depth of the kiln. A wash of wood-ash glaze settles into soft greys and pale smoke tones, collecting subtly in the center before breaking toward the rim. The foot is sturdy and grounded, giving the bowl a lifted, almost floating presence on the table.

Silene’s firing process invites ash, flame, and atmosphere to collaborate in the final surface, creating a piece that feels both ancient and contemporary. Ideal for rice, small salads, snacks, or as a reflective everyday bowl.
