Silene DeCiucies Wood-Fired Stoneware Serving Bowl with Handles – Kaolin Slip

Handcrafted by Vermont potter Silene DeCiucies, this wood-fired stoneware serving bowl with handles is wheel-thrown and finished with a kaolin slip that responds sensitively to the atmosphere of the kiln. During firing, flame and natural ash move across the surface, creating layered tones of soft grey, cream, and warm earth, with subtle variations that make each bowl unique. The gently rounded form is complemented by integrated handles that offer both ease of use and a sense of balance, making the bowl well suited for serving vegetables, salads, or shared dishes. Measuring approximately 4.5” high and 8” in diameter, it brings a grounded, generous presence to the table. Food safe, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe.
