Josh Kopin Wood-Fired Tea Cup

Handbuilt by Josh Kopin and finished in shino glaze with iron brushwork, this tea cup carries the softness and depth that emerge through wood and soda firing. The gently faceted form sits naturally in the hand, while the layered surface reveals warm flashing, subtle green-gray movement, and expressive iron markings beneath a softly crackled glaze. A quiet, tactile cup equally suited for tea, sake, or everyday use.

ジョシュ・コピンによる手びねりの湯呑み。志野釉の上に鉄絵が施され、薪窯とソーダ焼成によって奥行きのある景色が生まれています。やわらかく面取りされた形は手に自然になじみ、炎による緋色や淡い緑灰色の流れ、鉄絵の表情が貫入を伴う釉肌の中に静かに現れています。お茶や酒器として、また日常使いの器としても美しい一点です。
