Juli Kirk Small Stoneware Bowl with Terra Sigillata and Black Underglaze

This small bowl by Juli Kirk combines refined surface treatments with a quietly sculptural form. The exterior is finished with a smooth terra sigillata surface, while the interior moves between deep black underglaze and a pale satin-glazed pool edged with a subtle green copper line near the rim. The shifting surfaces create a striking contrast between matte and luminous areas, giving the small vessel a surprising visual depth.

Though modest in scale, the bowl feels intentional and contemplative—well suited for salt, spices, dipping sauces, tea sweets, or small condiments, or simply as a quiet presence on the table or desk.
