Peter Dellert Large Wood Tray

Crafted from a variety of carefully selected woods, these handmade trays by Peter Dellert highlight the distinctive grain, color, and character of each piece of wood. Working with woods including oak, curly maple, and cherry, Dellert shapes each tray individually, allowing the natural qualities of the material to guide its form. Some are broad and substantial, others long and slender, but all share his restrained approach and gently sculpted lines.

Peter Dellert has worked as a woodworker, cabinetmaker, furniture maker, and sculptor for more than forty years, and that sensitivity to material is evident throughout his work. Each tray is carefully shaped, hand sanded, and finished with a food-safe oil and wax finish, preserving the tactile presence of the wood while creating a remarkably smooth surface.

Beautiful for tea service, bread, fruit, or as a centerpiece object, these trays bring warmth and quiet presence to everyday use. Because each is individually made from a unique piece of wood, the species, grain, color, shape, and dimensions vary from tray to tray.

Peter Dellertは40年以上にわたり、木工家、家具職人、彫刻家として活動してきました。その長年の経験は、素材そのものの魅力を活かした端正な造形と、滑らかな手触りに表れています。一点一点を丁寧に成形し、手作業で研磨した後、食品用のオイルとワックスで仕上げられています。

茶器やパン、果物のためのトレイとしてはもちろん、空間に置くだけでも木の温かみと静かな存在感を楽しめます。天然木から一点ずつ制作されているため、樹種、木目、色合い、形、サイズはそれぞれ異なります。
