Deb Luekens Handmade Chiyogami Greeting Card

These handcut greeting cards by Deb Luekens feature cascading heart forms cut from chiyogami—decorative Japanese paper traditionally made by silkscreening patterns onto handmade washi. Each heart is carefully cut and arranged by hand, creating a gentle vertical rhythm of color and pattern across the card’s surface.

A distinctive detail of these cards is the right-hand edge, which is cut to follow the contour of the cascading hearts rather than remaining rectangular. This subtle shaping gives each card a sculptural quality while remaining elegant and understated. The cards are blank inside, allowing them to be used for any occasion, and each includes a coordinating envelope.

Because the chiyogami patterns vary, each numbered variant is one of a kind.
