Guy Matsuda Tenmoku Vase

This compact vase by Guy Matsuda carries the rich depth and reflective warmth characteristic of tenmoku glaze. The rounded form and narrow neck create a grounded, quiet presence, while the wood firing introduces subtle tonal shifts across the glossy surface—from deep espresso brown to amber highlights. Small accumulations of ash near the shoulder add texture and variation to the otherwise smooth, luminous glaze.

Beautiful with a few stems or displayed simply on its own as a sculptural object.
