Guy Matsuda Wood-Fired Teapot

This wheel-thrown teapot by Guy Matsuda reflects a quiet balance of utility and restraint. Wood-fired and left unglazed, the stoneware surface carries subtle blush tones, ash deposits, and soft flashing that emerged naturally in the kiln. The rounded body pours comfortably from a carefully shaped spout fitted with an integrated ceramic filter, while the lid and handle settle naturally into the form as a whole. A beautifully understated teapot for daily tea practice.

ジョシュ・マツダによる急須。ろくろ成形によるやわらかな丸みのある形と、薪窯焼成によって生まれた静かな景色が魅力です。無釉の石器肌には、炎や灰による淡い緋色や自然な斑点が現れ、焼成そのものの痕跡が静かに残されています。注ぎ口には陶製の茶漉しが組み込まれており、使い心地にも配慮されたつくりです。蓋や持ち手も全体のフォルムに自然に溶け込み、日々のお茶の時間に穏やかな存在感を添えてくれます。
