Ayumi Nojiri Handbuilt Bud Vase

This handbuilt stoneware bud vase by Ayumi Nojiri has a softly rounded body that narrows at both the base and opening, giving the small form a compact, almost bottle-like profile. A tiny loop handle sits high on one side, adding an unexpected detail without changing the vase’s simple silhouette.

The surface is especially expressive: pale cream and gray-white areas break across warm brown clay in an irregular, mottled pattern, with a slightly glossy finish that catches the light differently across the curves. The darker rim and interior sharpen the opening, while the uneven edge preserves the handbuilt character of the piece.

Its narrow mouth is well suited to a single stem, a few grasses, or a small dried arrangement. At just 3.5 inches high, it also works beautifully as a small sculptural object on its own.

表面は温かみのある茶色を基調に、クリームやグレーがかった白の釉調が不規則に重なり、斑状の豊かな表情を見せます。わずかな艶が光を受け、丸みのある器面に沿って表情が変化します。やや濃い色の口縁と内側が開口部を引き締めています。

細い口径は、一輪の花や数本の草、ドライフラワーを生けるのに適しています。高さ約3.5インチと小ぶりなので、そのまま小さなオブジェとして飾っても楽しめます。
