Ayumi Nojiri Handbuilt Katakuchi Pouring Bowl

This handbuilt stoneware katakuchi by Ayumi Nojiri has a broad, open form with a gently irregular rim that draws into a subtle pouring lip at one side. The bowl rises from a compact base into softly flaring walls, giving it both a generous interior and a light, lifted profile.

A pale, cool-toned glaze covers the surface, shifting between soft white, gray, and faint blue-green depending on the light. Inside, the glaze gathers with a glossy, almost watery depth that makes the handbuilt undulations especially visible. The uneven rim and slightly asymmetrical profile keep the form lively without making it feel rough.

Useful for sauces, dressings, tea, or small shared dishes, the bowl also works well simply as a serving piece where its shape and surface can remain visible.

Ayumi Nojiriによる、手びねりで成形されたストーンウェアの片口鉢です。広く開いた器形に、わずかに揺らぐ口縁がつながり、その一部が自然に注ぎ口へと変化しています。小さめの高台から側面がやわらかく広がり、たっぷりとした内側と軽やかな立ち上がりを生み出しています。

表面には淡く涼やかな色調の釉薬がかかり、光によって白、グレー、わずかな青緑の間を移ろうように見えます。内側はやや艶のある表情で、手びねりによる起伏やゆるやかな凹凸がよく伝わります。不揃いな口縁とわずかな非対称性が、素朴になりすぎることなく器に動きを与えています。

ソースやドレッシング、お茶、小さな取り分け料理などに使いやすく、盛り付けそのものを楽しめる器です。
