Guy Matsuda Ash-Glazed Vase – 8” Wood and Salt Fired

A bold, richly glazed vase by Guy Matsuda. Wheel-thrown stoneware, wood and salt fired with a thick ash glaze that breaks and flows in earthy tones—golden amber, iron, and mossy green. Incised banding rings the surface and enhances the vertical movement of the drips. 8” tall and 5.5” in diameter, it brings warmth and presence to any space.

Guy Matsudaによる、力強くも温かみのある花器。轆轤成形されたストーンウェアに、薪と塩の焼成による厚い灰釉が施され、鉄のような濃茶、琥珀色、苔むした緑が流れるように重なり合っています。彫り込まれたラインが縦の流れを引き立て、動きのある景色を生み出します。高さ約20cm、直径約14cm。空間に豊かな存在感を与えてくれる一品です。
